These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the ASL mobile application, aslbullion.com, and related services (collectively, the “Service”) operated by ASL (أصل). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a binding contract under the laws of Egypt. You must provide accurate information and complete identity verification (KYC) when requested. We may refuse or close accounts that do not meet eligibility or compliance requirements.
2. About the Service
ASL helps users save in allocated precious metals, primarily silver and gold, denominated in grams. The Service may include membership features, scheduled savings, vault locks, withdrawals, and physical redemption when available. Features may be released gradually; we may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service as the product evolves.
ASL is not a bank. Balances shown in the app represent your entitlement to allocated metal (or the cash equivalent on withdrawal, where offered), not a traditional bank deposit insured by a deposit guarantee scheme.
3. Account registration and security
- You register using your mobile phone number and are responsible for keeping your device and account secure.
- Do not share one-time codes or allow others to access your account.
- Use our Support page promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
- You are responsible for activity under your account except where caused by our fault.
4. Metal allocation
When you fund a purchase or savings plan, we aim to allocate metal to you on a pooled, allocated basis: your entitlement is tracked in grams, backed by metal held in custody subject to our operational and contractual arrangements. Displayed balances, indicative prices, and buffers are for information and checkout; final settlement depends on confirmed funding, market conditions, and product rules shown in the app at the time of each transaction.
Metal prices fluctuate. The value of your holdings in Egyptian pounds or other currencies may go down as well as up. Past performance is not indicative of future results.
5. Funding, withdrawals, and redemption
Funding instructions, minimum amounts, processing times, withdrawal fees, redemption minimums, and delivery options are disclosed in the app before you confirm an action. You must use only approved payment methods and accurate transfer references. We may delay or reject transactions that appear fraudulent, non-compliant, or inconsistent with these Terms.
6. Fees and membership
Fees may apply to purchases, withdrawals, early vault unlocks, redemption, membership, or other features. Applicable fees are shown in the app before you confirm a transaction or subscribe to a paid plan. We may change fees with notice where required by law or with in-app disclosure for new actions you take after the change.
7. Compliance and acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for unlawful purposes, money laundering, sanctions evasion, or fraud;
- provide false identity or payment information;
- interfere with or reverse-engineer the Service except as permitted by law;
- use automated means to access the Service without our permission.
We may suspend or terminate access to meet legal obligations, manage risk, or investigate suspected misuse.
8. Not investment advice; regulatory notice
Information in the Service is for general education and product operation. It is not investment, financial, tax, or legal advice. You are solely responsible for your savings decisions.
ASL is offered as a consumer precious-metals savings product. Our regulatory posture may evolve as we launch and as Egyptian law and supervisory guidance develop. Unless we state otherwise in the app or on our website, we do not claim any specific licence, registration, or regulatory approval. Nothing in these Terms should be read as a representation that such status has been obtained.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including software, design, trademarks, and content, is owned by ASL or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
10. Third-party services
Identity verification, payment processing, custody, logistics, and communications may be provided by third parties. Their terms may apply to portions of your interaction with them. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. Market data and balances may be delayed or subject to reconciliation.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ASL and its affiliates, directors, employees, and suppliers shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.
Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid to us in the twelve months before the claim or (b) one hundred United States dollars (or equivalent in EGP), except where liability cannot be limited under mandatory law.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold ASL harmless from claims arising out of your breach of these Terms, misuse of the Service, or violation of law, except to the extent caused by our negligence or wilful misconduct.
14. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account via Settings → Delete Account or by using our Support page. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms, legal requirements, or risk management. Termination does not affect obligations that by nature should survive, including fees owed, record-keeping, and limitations of liability.
15. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may be notified in the app or by email. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance, where permitted by law.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Cairo, Egypt, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
